These paintings are essentially invisible paintings which consists of latex sheets stretched tauntly over wood panels. La Piana then replaces the use of any liquid fluid medium such as paint or ink but instead uses and applies layer after layer of marble dusk or talc powder to create infinite and textural surfaces that disappear.
